Britain’s Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip rang in their 73rd wedding anniversary with a sentimental gift – a homemade card from their great-grandchildren.

Buckingham Palace released a special picture of the queen, 94, and Philip, 99, joyfully opening a card from Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, the children of the couple’s grandson Prince William and his wife, the Duchess of Cambridge.

In the sweet image, the royals flash a smile in Windsor Castle while looking at the colorful card embossed with the number 73 in honor of their anniversary on Friday.

Elizabeth was only 21 when she married Royal Navy Lt. Philip Mountbatten at Westminster Abbey on November 20, 1947. She has been queen since 1952, ruling longer than any other British monarch.

Her marriage to Prince Philip is also the longest for any British sovereign.

New photos show Queen Elizabeth in a mask for the first time, but she skips mask for Remembrance Day

While Queen Elizabeth continues to carry out her duties, Prince Philip, 99, has retired from public life. With England under a national lockdown to control the COVID-19 pandemic, the couple is self-isolating at Windsor Castle.
