Pedestrian Struck, Killed By Tractor-Trailer In Accident Along Interstate-70 – CBS Pittsburgh

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — A pedestrian was struck and killed by a tractor-trailer along Interstate 70 on Monday morning.

The accident happened just before 7:30 a.m. along the eastbound lanes of I-70 near Exit 38 (Mon-Fayette Expressway) in Fallowfield Township.

According to the Washington County Coroner’s Office, John Marvin Isenberg III, 33, of Ohio, was working on a disabled vehicle on the right shoulder of the highway when the tractor-trailer struck him.

Interstate 70 was closed for about three hours, but reopened to traffic around 10:30 a.m.

Pennsylvania State Police are investigating the accident.
