The body of a missing spearfisherman was recovered in Pago Bay Tuesday after crews resumed search operations, according to Guam Fire Department spokesman firefighter Kevin Reilly.
The man was found submerged in approximately 15 to 20 feet of water.
The rescue effort began Monday afternoon after the 53-year-old man was reported missing at Pago Bay. He was last seen at 4:30 p.m., and the Coast Guard and Navy were asked to assist with the search.
The search continued until 2 a.m., and then resumed at first light. Guam Police Department Special Operations Division also offered their assistance.
