Cat got your tot?
A cat parent had the internet in hysterics after filming the moment her jealous kitty seemed to be plotting to kill her newborn baby. A video of the tyke-hating tabby’s death stare has amassed 1.2 million views on TikTok as viewers fear for the infant’s safety.
“My initial reaction was just pure laughter,” Grace Robinson, 19, told NeedToKnow.online of the photobombing antics of her 12-year-old Machiavellian mouse-catcher, Harvey.
The Leicester, England, native first became aware of the feline’s mean-mugging ways when it glowered at her mom Emma, 48, while she was snapping a pic of her baby granddaughter, Emilia Bea Robinson.
“Harvey was just staring at my mum, which she found funny, so she took the photo,” recalled Grace. “The whole family couldn’t stop laughing and from then on, anytime he was in the background (which was quite often) and was staring like usual, we would take a picture and share it in the family group chat.”

She then uploaded the best pics to TikTok so all the world could marvel at Harvey’s hilarious glare.
The resultant montage, captioned “POV: your cat is plotting to kill your baby,” begins innocently with a still of 1-month-old Emilia sleeping peacefully in crib. It then ominously cuts to a side-splitting compilation of the tot engaging in various activities while Harvey flashes daggers at her in the background.
In the last image of Harvey watching Emilia while she sleeps, his eyes seem to be shining like the zombie cat from the Stephen King horror flick “Pet Sematary.” Coincidentally, cats were recently classified as an “invasive alien species,” much to the chagrin of cat-lovers everywhere.
“The last picture in the video is my favorite because I actually didn’t notice him in the background until after the picture was taken,” mused Grace.

TikTok appeared to share Grace’s sentiment about the allegedly plotting pussycat with one bemused viewer writing: “THE LAST ONE HAS ME IN TEARS.”
“I’m actually in tears I have been laughing at this for about 15 minutes,” wrote another. A feline fan penned, “That cat is relatable.”
“Cat’s looking at the baby like ‘excuse me! That’s my seat!’ ” joked one TikToker.

It remains unclear if Harvey actually had murder on the mind, however, cats are known to get jealous of other cats, dogs and even babies.
“Very much like dogs that move into a household, babies also tend to upend a cat’s environment,” PetMD explained on its website. “They make unexplainable noises and produce strange smells (from your cat’s point of view). Nighttime is no longer a quiet time for your cat to roam around the house, and stress levels in the house tend to rise.”
They added, “All these examples can contribute to insecurity (and hence a jealous reaction) from many cats.”

Nonetheless, Grace says she’s not concerned that Harvey will actually harm her child.
“I can honestly say I’m not worried at all about my cat’s relationship with my daughter,” insisted the mom. “Harvey is the softest most friendly cat ever. He wouldn’t intentionally hurt or intimidate anyone — he just wants fuss and cuddles!”
Grace added, “Away from the camera, Harvey is just fine with Emilia; to be honest, if anything, he’s not really bothered by her.”
Ultimately, Grace said she’s glad that the “video has made people smile and am very overwhelmed with the lovely comments about both Harvey and Emili.”
